“Before the Bells” is our daily school news television show. New episodes are filmed and edited each morning between 7:15-8:40 a.m. The show is then aired to each classroom in the school during homeroom at 8:44 a.m. Our standard running time for each show is 12 minutes. We feature school news, announcements, sports coverage, weather, and comedy shorts to keep our audience engaged and entertained.

A mini-sample show is posted below. The video is a mash-up of pieces from the 06-07 and 07-08 school years, and it’s designed to give a quick snapshot of some of our features.

    Marshfield Education Foundation Announces Inaugural St. Patrick’s Day 5k Road Race

    Marshfield, MA, February 5, 2011 — The Marshfield Education Foundation (“MEF”) is seeking runners and walkers of all ages and abilities for the first-ever St. Patrick’s Day road race on the South Shore. Foundation president Ed Barrett said that the road race, to be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19th on a flat, ocean-side course in the Brant Rock neighborhood of Marshfield, is designed to be a fun and scenic challenge for participants. Proceeds from the event will help fund the foundation’s grants program for the Marshfield Public Schools.

    The official host for the MEF St. Patrick’s Day 5k Road Race is the Venus II restaurant at 277 Ocean Street on the Brant Rock Esplanade. The pre-registration deadline is 11:59 p.m. on February 15th with a cost of $20. (All pre-registrants receive a long sleeve 1st Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5k T-shirt.) Online and mail in registrations will continue to take place until 11:59 p.m. on March 17th at the cost of $25. Check-in and same-day registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on March 19th.
