This ridiculous and absurd character began as an improvisation as last year’s E Block “Before the Bells” crew was vamping in front of the green screen. The cameras were still rolling, and Davis Vanderlin (’08) threw some prop sunglasses and a mustache on and instantly became a fake wrestler…”Bad Cop.” The bit makes no sense, but the voice is so funny that people were fans on the spot. The Bad Cop Daughter improv bit was captured during a mic check a couple of weeks later. The spots were so popular that Davis finally put a comedy short together using the Bad Cop voice. It’s pretty classic. Ridiculous, yes, but classic nonetheless.
